Job Description

Principal Evaluation Engineer:
Responsible for the evaluation and characterization of new power management switching regulator products, working in a team environment with design, test, applications, quality, and marketing engineers, as well as driving qualification and release to production activities.

Some typical responsibilities of the job include:
Evaluation plan and evaluation bench testing; debug analysis to root-cause, bench test hardware/software, including Labview, to be used for lab evaluation; Study, preparation, analysis, simulation of the product design; Evaluation report, and documenting the results of the lab evaluation activity; ESD and Latchup qualification/evaluation; Yield improvement; Cost reduction through design or manufacturing process improvement or migration to cost saving processes.

Projects will also require significant technical, logistical, and project management support, leadership, and coordination with extended team members such as QA, reliability, failure analysis, field sales, field application engineers, offshore manufacturing, and customers. Team leadership role is possible.. Position Requirements MSEE with 10+ years analog semiconductor experience, with experience in Product or Evaluation Engineering role (described above).

Min. 7 years lab and bench evaluation experience related to new product releases required. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the demonstrated ability to work well both in teams and independently taking initiate to solve technical problems and overcome obstables, and meet schedules/deadlines. Candidate should have a demonstrated ability to develop and debug bench test hardware and be strong in common lab equipment usage, strong circuit analysis skills, and a record of success in executing challenging projects and solving problems.
