Responsibilities: Senior Product Manager XL MyLabs, Adaptive Learning The Senior Product Manager shares responsibility for planning, designing, and managing the development of the XL MyLabs products. The Sr Product Manager is active in all phases of the product lifecycle including: gathering and prioritizing requirements, creating detailed specifications and prototypes, and testing and monitoring implementation. This position will be focused on functionality related to the delivery of adaptive learning and testing capabilities in the XL MyLabs products. A person in the role will be working with multiple internal teams, vendors, and other partners. Responsibilities: * For assigned feature requirements: track and prioritize requests; define the business case; research user needs and expectations; and, write use cases, functional specifications and test plans. * Work with and train content and course production teams to ensure they understand any content requirements related to the adaptive features. * Conduct (or assist with) usability testing, user development conferences, and focus groups. * Monitor and review the development of specific features including software engineering, QA, and documentation. * Perform acceptance and ad hoc functional testing of new features. * Collaborate with designers and team members to develop a cohesive interface for new features * Develop and maintain expertise with respect to our customers and our products. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred. * 5+ years of software product manager experience, particularly in the educational technology or digital publishing industries. * Experience with educational technology, or instructional design, especially adaptive learning or testing is highly desirable. * In depth familiarity with software design, development, and release * Excellent teamwork, communication, relationship building, and organizational skills * Requires occasional travel to customer events and conferences in North America (10%).
