SR. PROJECT MANAGER

The Sr. Project Manager's primary responsibility is to own and manage the full range of deliverables (print, direct mail, web banners, websites, iPAD apps, emails, etc) for an assigned brand from concept to final delivery, with regards to timing, quality and budget. This position requires meticulous record keeping, creative and flexible problem solving, and the skill set to provide direction and vision throughout a project lifecycle. The Sr. Project Manager (PM) is also responsible for acting as a consultant/advisor to the Project Managers in guiding them through complex digital deliverables.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB):

_PROJECT MANAGEMENT_

* Own and manage (with the assistance of an Associate PM and PC) all projects for assigned brand from concept to deployment
* Responsible for insuring all deadlines are met, project budget is monitored, and stakeholders are informed of status at all stages
* Acts as consultant and mentor to the PM's assisting on complex digital deliverables
* Support the PM in the creation of detailed timelines and digital projects
* Support the PC in recommendations for the most efficient way to circulate a job
* Responsible for the creation of detailed project plans for all Digital projects
* Responsible for internal meeting documentation and follow up with team
* Solve project or client challenges in tight collaboration with internal stakeholders
* Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and client IT, collaborating on timelines and identifying challenges and risks to keep on schedule
* Escalating issues through the right channel that may impact delivery; escalated issue should including solution options prior to escalation
* Works closely with agency technical resources to obtain and communicate technical specifications to internal and external development teams on digital projects
* Responsible for collaborating on functional spec documents with appropriate technical/UX internal resources
* Continually helps to up-level the PMs and PCs with their digital skills

_BUSINESS MANAGEMENT_

* Inform Account team on SOW development and Creative Brief/Charter development
* Responsible for creating requested digital project estimates in collaboration with internal stakeholders, assist PM and PC in tracking actuals against estimates, maintain budgets and burn reports

* Responsible for impact analysis for scope change on assigned projects, collaborates with Account Team to determine next steps

_INTERNAL AGENCY SKILLS_

* Develops good relationships within the department and works as a team player
* Interacts in a professional manner with all employees of the Agency

* Prioritizes work and completes the work in an accurate and timely manner. Reports to supervisor in case additional effort required for completing work that may impact client deliverables
* Arranges for back-up coverage on assigned projects when unavailable

* Understands and operates within established Agency procedures

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (EMPLOYEES, FREELANCERS, TEMPORARIES, CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS SUPERVISED DIRECTLY): Supervises PC and Associate PM

PREREQUISITES (FORMAL EDUCATION, SKILLS, JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE):

_Industry: _5-7 years experience as a Project Manager or Sr Project Manager in either an Agency or Digital development setting

_*_strong digital Project Management background preferred

Education: 4 year College level education.

Skills:

* Must have advanced MS Office skills, Adobe Acrobat, and experience with a job tracking application (MS Project, Workfront, Jira etc.)
* Comfortable with Agile development methodology
* Must be thoroughly organized and able to multi-task

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Maintains professional demeanor when communicating with all levels of personnel
