Description:
Sr. Project Manager, Supply Chain Management
This position will be instrumental in helping Babcock
and Wilcox establish a world class Supply Chain center
of excellence (COE) in Singapore to support B&W global
portfolio of companies. The successful candidate will
work directly with the Vice President & Chief Supply
Management officer and will be the focal point for day
to day management this overall business transformation
initiative assuring the global coordination of supply
chain resources and other functional departments across
the company. This project will have direct visibility to
the executive leadership of the company as well as the
board of directors.
Responsibilities
Act as Project Manager for overall planning,
coordination, execution, delivery and completion of
large, multi-year, international supply chain
initiative. Key to the success of the new COE will be
the creation and implementation of entirely new
sourcing, sales, order fulfillment, and accounting
processes. In addition, the project will require close
coordination with Information technologies project
management as there is a significant IT systems
enablement component to the initiative. The project
manager will assure the development of detailed
implementation plans and assure that the project is
completed on time and within budget.
Lead cross functional project team(s) throughout the
life of the project, engaging teams to achieve project
deliverables and milestones
Extensive communication at various levels including
senior leadership to provide timely project status and
obtain necessary resources
Proven ability to guide change and influence decision
making, across various business functions and at various
levels within the organization
Formulate the project plans, in accordance with
management decisions and priorities; specifies the
resource needs of the project, anticipated costs, risk
assessment and quality standards to be used.
Ensure project objectives (including safety, quality,
cost and on time installations) are met
Additional Information
50% domestic and international travel is required
(more may be required at beginning of position)
Requirements:
Job Qualifications / Requirements *
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in technical and/or engineering
curriculum, business/management, or commensurate
demonstrated professional experience
7+ years experience in a project manager role in
support of a global Supply Chain, Operations, or
Logistics projects
Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management
vernacular, functions, and processes
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize processes, work
through detailed designs with cross functional teams,
and arrive at final process flows that can then be
implemented as part of the project plan
Excellent reporting and process management
capabilities with ability to proactively report on
activities
Proven team facilitation skills and public
speaking/presentation ability
Willingness to manage projects as well as being
accountable to take on tasks ( working PM )
