Sr. QA Engineer -

This is a thought-leader role and will be responsible for defining Load and Performance testing strategy in collaboration with the Technical Operations and Development Managers.
This includes developing Coding Standards and Best Practices to enable Developers to design and develop Web Applications that have high performance characteristics with few if any defects at the end of the SDLC that are Performance related.
This individual is expected to be part of a small team and requires that the candidate be exceptional in all phases of Performance test planning, scripting and analysis.
The Load and Performance Engineer is part of the DOS QA team and works closely with DOL Developers and Systems Engineering groups to ensure Web applications meet desired performance before going live using HP Performance Center suite of test tools.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience; Computer Science degree is preferred
Requires 5 or more years of experience in the field of software quality assurance, specifically, performance testing enterprise systems, automating manual test cases, building and maintaining testing environments, designing/implementing automation testing frameworks, leading and growing testing teams through mentoring and training
Experience on all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), thorough understanding of the SDLC and extensive experience planning, coordinating, and executing QA activities throughout the SDLC.
Experience in testing cross-platform, distributed applications as well as regression, unit, functionality, performance and other tests to assist the project team identify and resolve defects in the product
Experience testing Java server applications
Possess strong programming skills, C, C++, Java, C#, VB.net
