Our client company is one of the world's leading manufacturing producers of critical rotating components of turbine engines for aviation, industrial and military applications. The Santa Fe Springs facility specializes in highly complex precision machined blisks, IBRs, impellers, diffusers and other components in metals including titanium, Inconel and aluminum. We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified Senior Quality Manager.


The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for the overall strategy and management for accessory Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Administration and Technical Coordination through effective planning and execution.


Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Assurance Department, including development and implementation of robust processes utilizing Six Sigma and other lean disciplines.
Hands-on involvement in all aspects of Quality Systems functions.
Develop and manage performance of all Quality Assurance personnel, rewarding and taking corrective measures as appropriate.
Trouble shoot and support FPY and CI.
Ensure controls are in place to maintain ISO, NADCAP, AS9100 and Customer accreditations.
Establish, maintain and solidify relationships with customers.
Manage non-conformance processes include review deviations, disposition, perform root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer documentation submissions.
Accurately read and interpret blue prints, technical sketches, drawings, configuration, and customer documents to meet job requirements.
Think and act analytically to achieve effective solutions with exceptional attention to detail and ability to solve practical job related problems required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Good presentation skills.
High sense of urgency and ability to meet schedule requirements.
Must be able to thrive in a small manufacturing environment, frequently serving many roles, effectively handle multiple priorities and meet schedule deadlines.

Education requirements:

4 year Bachelor’s degree is required.
Engineering or Technical 4 year degree is preferred.
Advanced degree is preferred.

Work Experience required or preferred:

5+ years experience of leadership in a manufacturing environment is required.
5 years of experience in machine shop with precision machining.
5 years of experience demonstrating a work relationship with OEM and 1st tier supplier minimum.
5 years of quality department management experience.
5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
Deep knowledge in GD&T.
Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing experience is required.
Aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
