Sr Research Scientist Biology Bioinformatics

We are seeking an experienced & highly motivated bioinformatics scientist to take a lead role in data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, experimental design, & database development to support multiple therapeutic areas from target assessment to biomarker discovery. The successful c&idate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced & highly collaborative environment & will be responsible for developing & employing scientifically-rigorous statistical analysis, pattern recognition, mathematical modeling & bioinformatics techniques to enable Gilead's biology research objectives with a focus on biomarkers, genomics, genetics & next generation sequencing. Secondary responsibilities will include overseeing the design, development & maintenance of a biological database integrating into a common framework data from diverse high-throughput techniques & information sources.
