JOB DESCRIPTIONPRIMARY PURPOSE : Oversight of all accounting functions and accounting personnel.
Four-year degree, accounting discipline. (Preferred)
Experience, Skills and Abilities
Five years of progressive accounting experience. Manufacturing background preferred.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal and state regulations.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Highly competent leader and manager. Strong team player, problem solving, analytic and communication skills, coupled with a bias for action.
The ability to multi-task and easily transfer from one task to another.
Excellent PC skills pertaining to accounting software and Microsoft Suite Applications: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Obtains and exhibits extensive working knowledge of company services, systems, procedures, products, and office equipment.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with various internal and external personnel and customers.
Oversight of core accounting functions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventory, reconciling, month-end closings and reporting, internal controls)
Complete financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and bank reconciliation)
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Compiling and monitoring budget information
Work with current and locate new vendors to improve quality and pricing.
Complete all quarterly and annual government reports.
Oversight of other accounting personnel
Complete projects and any other reasonable tasks as directed by the C.F.O.
