Job Description

Mattel, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Sales Forecasting Analyst to join our Sales Forecasting team located at the Corporate Headquarters in El Segundo, CA. Responsible for Mattel's Boys & Girls toy division. This position reports to a Sales Manager.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales team and retail customer to support and meet business goal expectations and improve scorecard metrics
- Provides superior qualitative & quantitative problem-solving, including ability to develop analytic methodologies.
- Actively leads and participates in monthly forecasting meetings with customer buyers and business analysts at customer's headquarters.
- Data mine internal and external data to extrapolate analytical findings into meaningful insights and actionable steps to drive business.
- Provide forecasting techniques to recognize seasonal trends and changes in trends in the market to maximize sales and balanced inventory.
- Work to continually improve and enhance the forecasting and inventory planning process.
- Provide weekly inventory replenishment perspective within each brand of the business
- Involved in customer VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) program
- Provide input to plans and strategies for a business unit, department, or project to satisfy internal or external customer requirements.
- Review sales and marketing programs to provide compelling analysis to drive business
- Collaborative meetings with multiple departments within internal supply chain to effectively help manage inventory flow

Requirements:
' Completed four-year degree is required
' Minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience in a retail sales, sales analysis, demand forecasting and/or inventory management role within a cpg, retail or related industry enviornment
' Experience and ability to navigate in a top retailer system a plus (Workbench/RB, Retail Link, POL/IR, etc.)
' Ability to work in fast paced environment; execute multiple projects in a timely manner
' Strong written and verbal communication skills
' Strong understanding of supply chain & retail environment
' Power user in MS Excel a must
' Proficiency in Access & Power Point a strong plus
' Responsible and goal oriented
' Must be able to travel to customer site 10-12 times per year
