JOB DESCRIPTIONARRIS has an immediate opportunity for a strong Sales Engineer to work on the Comcast account team. We are seeking proven professionals who can work with our account team to develop and close opportunities and drive revenue.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding team of sales engineers providing products for the leading Cable providers of the world.
Provide technical expertise to the sales team in order to achieve company assigned booking revenue and business objectives.
Subject Matter Expert and as a mentor to team members and other Sales Engineering teams.
Establish credible relationships with customers upper level technical contacts in order to further communication of product capabilities, needs and wants between the customer and Company.
Manage projects requiring resources from different departments and/or external vendors.
Provide technical training through activities such as trade show demonstrations, customer product trials, product beta trials, RFx responses and defense, customer presentations, customer seminars.
Provide technical expertise on overall cable TV system and network architectures.
Develop and present positioning papers, technical white papers, presentations and other technical documentation for national/international level conferences.
Proactively monitor the customer base and identify new customers needs and issues. Provide feedback to Sales, upper management or Technical Services, as appropriate, for issues or opportunities.
Maintain current on industry and competitive developments as related to ARRIS product portfolio.
Maintain a good working relationship with PLM, R&D and Marketing within different Business Units.
Provide product roadmap updates within the sales team and to customers on a regular basis.
Provide project management support to assist in larger projects. On larger scale projects work with the professional services team to insure projects are kept to scope and timelines.
- Bachelors degree in Applied Science or Engineering (Masters degree preferred)
- 7 years experience in an engineering support role (preferrable cable industry)
Additional Skills:- Thorough understanding of HFC-based high-speed data technology, TCP/IP, CMTS, VoIP, and Digital Video distribution
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts and build and work in a team
- Ability to be self directed and motivated
- Must have one or more applicable Industry Standard Certifications
- Must be able to travel up to 75%.
