Qualifications: Construction is seeking a motivated individual who is driven to deliver exemplary customer service and recognizes the critical importance of personal responsibility. The successful candidate must be able to handle multiple work assignments, changing priorities and meet strict deadlines. Creates and sustains a workplace environment that fosters leadership, professionalism, honesty, concern, excellence and teamwork. Monitors and motivates the performance of subordinates, and provides critical feedback for their development. Assists in the section s budgetary planning and assumes responsibility for working within budget. Candidate must ensure that the Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools are incorporated into daily work activities. Must be committed to fostering a Zero Accident Culture, Diversity and Inclusion, Achieving Operational Excellence, Developing an effective Cost Management Culture and Enhancing the Customers Experience.

The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and within a team environment and be able to interact effectively with all levels of management, union work force, and external agencies when necessary. Must have the ability to exercise in-depth judgment and render sound business decisions.

Responsibilities: Demonstrate work experience in some of the following areas: Oracle Enterprise Business Suites, Work Management System (WMS), procurement contracts, trade labor rates, Compass, Enterprise Content Management, business process work flow capturing, and a general understanding of the construction business. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance or Accounting or Engineering with 5-6 years of practical work experience or an Associate s Degree with 8-10 years of work experience. Advanced technical degree and professional certifications preferred. Practical construction field experience preferred

The successful candidate will support the strategic business operations of Construction by assisting in the planning, development applying and implementation of integral information technologies. These implementations will follow the corporation s standards and procedures in order to remain technically compliant. The successful candidate will ensure the preparation of detailed system documentation, project plans, training and support for end users. The successful candidate will act as the computer resource coordinator for Construction as well as the Iron Mountain records coordinator. The candidate will have interaction with external city agencies via phone and regular status meetings. Must demonstrate skills in the area of Project Management and demonstrate competencies in Cost Management and budget adherence. This includes project status updates, project plans, change management, customer satisfaction and developing a control budget for projects. The candidate will assist in providing support and deployment of changes for the following systems: Project One, Work Management (WMS), ESRI Mapping, Tableau Reporting, Construction Permit Tracking System (CPTS), Paving System, Summons System, and IBM Maximo. This position will require travel to various company locations as needed. Potential Project supervision of employees.
