Qualifications: Energy Efficiency Programs is seeking a motivated professional to perform project inspections and provide technical support primarily for the Company s Commercial and Industrial Electric and Gas Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs and also for the Company s small business and multifamily programs. These programs promote energy efficiency to customers throughout the Con Edison service territory and will contribute to the achievement of statewide energy efficiency goals. The position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a technical or business discipline (including economics, physics or mathematics), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of building systems experience. Experience in the commercial and industrial energy efficiency field with specific knowledge related to energy efficiency solutions involving: lighting, motors, HVAC, VFDs and other energy using systems common to commercial and industrial buildings is preferred. The candidate must be a self-driven team player with a passion for energy efficiency solutions, excellent communication skills (oral and written); demonstrated experience with field-based activities and ability to work remotely; and demonstrated good working knowledge of MS Office tools (i.e., Excel and Word). Experience and knowledge with refrigeration, compressed air, industrial process technologies, and/or Retro-Commissioning of previously installed systems is desired.

Responsibilities: The NYS Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard was created to meet statewide goals for the reduction of future energy requirements. Con Edison s Commercial and Industrial Rebate Programs have goals for reducing electric and gas energy usage through the promotion of efficient energy consuming equipment. The C&I Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist will provide technical support in the development and implementation of a commercial and industrial energy efficiency program. Key functions and responsibilities include field visits to perform pre and post installation inspections of energy saving projects at Commercial and Industrial sites throughout New York City and Westchester County. The Project Inspector will also provide technical review of applications for program incentives and analysis of energy savings and cost estimates associated with such projects.

Must have valid drivers license. Some travel may be required outside of New York; otherwise limited travel to attend meetings in Albany, New York City and Westchester.
