The role of IT today goes beyond that of the traditional IT service organization. Many of the innovative ideas and projects that shape the company s future and move Con Ed forward are dependent on technology. IT employees are instrumental to designing and executing these projects. As such, the Application Services Department of Information Technology is seeking to hire a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join its management team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a high energy level, understand the vital importance of commitment to excellence, and possess a high regard for the company s values. The candidate must foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion and partnership. These skills will be used to exploit both existing and new IT investments with the goal of improving how the company manages its business and thus provide a positive experience to our external customers & stakeholders. Information Technology seeks to hire a dedicated professional who is committed to exemplary customer service. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a specialization in a Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering related discipline. Candidates must have 5 or more years of work experience in an analytical capacity, e.g. programming, engineering, system design or system support, including full systems life cycle management, supporting both vendor software packages and in-house built systems, leveraging Microsoft and Oracle platforms. The candidate must have experience testing software systems and supporting system upgrades. The successful candidate must possess excellent technical written and oral communication skills and must be able to interact with all levels of management. This individual must demonstrate the ability to complete multiple assignments with changing priorities while still meeting deadlines. The candidate must be able to learn new technology as required for the job using documentation and other available resources. This individual must be able to act as technical/desktop support for the installation, maintenance and support of the Electric Operations work management suite of products. These products support the Company s Electric work planning, scheduling, execution and reporting.

Knowledge of the following is preferred: HPUX, HP Serviceguard, Data Protector and Symantec backups, VERITAS Cluster file systems, Windows Server 2008-2012, VMware and RHEL GFS; SQL Server 2010; Active Directory Security Policies, LDAP; SCADA systems, MS Office.

Responsibilities: The Candidate will have a major role in daily support and continual upgrade of the CGI Work Management application portfolio supporting Electric Operations business organizations including maintenance of interfaces and data repositories associated with these systems. This position will be a significant part of a technical architecture team charged with the support and implementation of changes and enhancements from development to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments. The selected candidate will work closely with Application Development, BizTalk, Server and Storage Organization, Systems Assurance and Database Administration teams to troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements, in support of these systems. Selected candidate will also work with the Electric business users, as well as the CGI Global Customer Support team, as needed, to diagnose and solve application errors. The candidate will work with vendor and IT client packaging team to support, package and upgrade all ARM desktop applications. The selected individual is expected to also perform migration of code and configuration changes from development to test to production. Additional requirements include the ability to deploy client packages to end users and project workstations; ability to follow configuration management processes to deploy changes across multiple environments and manage releases in the production environment. The candidate will be expected to work with vendors to support and maintain testing and production environments, performing and testing upgrades as necessary during off hours. Selected candidate is expected to be available to provide on-call support 24X7.

Must have a valid driver's license. Candidate must be flexible and must be able to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems or respond to corporate emergencies. Must be willing to work within the Con Edison work territory.
