Qualifications: Information Technology seeks a highly motivated and dedicated person interested in joining our customer support team responsible for the Customer Service System (CSS), Retail Choice billing systems and Rate Engineering support. In addition, the team supports several satellite billing systems designed to bill accounts served by specialized rate programs. Customer Service System (CSS) is our legacy billing system which calculates bills for Con Edison s Electric and Gas customers. The billing information is then passed to Output billing system to format customer s billing data. HP Exstream, document composition software, generates customer s bills, which are transmitted to our vendor Broadridge for print/Mail. The right candidate is a team player who understands the criticality of application development to the success of our business. The candidate must be well versed in Mainframe technologies ranging from COBOL, TSO, DB2, JCL and File Manager. The candidate will work on providing support for the CSS electric and gas bill verification system, Output Billing and the Rate Engineering systems used in support of Con Edison rate case fillings. Responsibilities include implementation of new systems when required by regulation, policy change or strategic business transformation. With minimal guidance, candidate must be able to the effectively maintain and enhance existing mission critical customer service applications in addition to performing programming activities related to any new system development. The candidate should have experience writing formal documentation and requirements. Some experience preparing and conducting presentations is preferred. An Associate s degree or Technical certification is required. A Bachelor s Degree is preferred. The candidate must have 4 to 8 years of experience with responsibilities in the analysis, design, programming and implementation of information systems. Candidates with experience in the Utility industry, regulated environments, as well as Retail Choice concepts are a plus. The candidate must be able to learn quickly, assimilate new concepts, and think analytically. Candidates should have a strong customer focus, and seek to develop their leadership and project management skills. Excellent communication skills are required, as the candidate will routinely interact with various business groups both within and outside of IT. The candidate must ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and government regulations. The candidate would join a professional support team to resolve complex problems and seek innovative solutions that are delivered using a variety of mainframe application development technologies ranging from COBOL, TSO, DB2, JCL and File Manager. Knowledge of HP Exstream product suite is preferred.

Responsibilities: The Customer Operations/Rate Engineering Support group is responsible for enhancing, maintaining, integrating, and developing systems related to Customer Operations and Rate Engineering group. These systems are critical to the success of the organizations and the goals of the entire company. In addition to supporting departmental operations, the development team supports Residential and Large Commercial customer Billing, Retail Choice Billing, RNY billing, as well as Steam Billing. A key initiative for 2016 will be the integration of the Company-wide Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) interface into the Billing systems. The candidate will be involved with several key initiatives involving Customer Operations and Rate Engineering. Some of these initiatives include the building of new applications that support the aforementioned processes, enhancements to existing applications, implementing Public Service Commission-mandated programs, and the evaluation and integration of vendor software. Candidate should be available to work off-hours as needed.

Performs other related assignments as required.

A valid driver s license is required. The candidate must also be willing and able to travel within the service territory as required to attend meetings and provide support as necessary. The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours as required for system installations and upgrades, production support or in response to corporate emergencies.
