Client is looking for a Staff Accountant to handle the daily accounting operations for their office located in the northeast area of Bakersfield, California. In this position, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring all accounting duties are completed in a timely manner. Duties will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Reconciliation, sales reporting, assistance with quarterly reviews & year-end audits, preparation of balance sheet account analysis (on a monthly basis for selected accounts), journal entries, and assist with filing of the Form 10-Q and 10-K. Additional knowledge, skills and abilities include: knowledge of accounting practices; attention to detail and organization skills; speak clearly; remain courteous while handling multiple situations; work independently; follow established company procedures; operate a personal computer, calculator, fax machine, photocopy machine, and telephone. Company is a multi-entity corporation involved in agriculture, real estate, land development, or other similar industries. You must have experience working with all accounting duties within a multi-entity company in order to be considered as a serious candidate for this position; those applying with accounting experience in the real estate, land development or agriculture industry will be given preference.
