Summary: This position is responsible for various aspects of the monthly financial closing process, analysis, and internal reporting of financial result for this manufacturing business unit. Through reconciliation and analysis of monthly financial data this position will be responsible for accurate reporting of the business unit's financial performance in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The position also includes various ad-hoc analyses including physical inventory, cycle counts, and weekly payroll processing, as well as supporting Americas Finance Department in the completion of various financial tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare Journal Entries to General Ledger accounts. Processes all monthly Journal Entries in BaaN. Prepares a monthly reconciliation list of all Journal Entries posted for month-end. Prepares the Accounting Department's monthly binder with all financial reports and reconciliations in compliance with SOX.
Prepare weekly & monthly analysis of General Ledger accounts for both Manufacturing and Administrative accounts.
Responsible for various Balance Sheet reconciliations in regards to cash, payroll, and inventory accounts.
Responsible for the computer portion of yearly physical inventory as well as monthly cycle counts. Reconciles differences and reports the results to management.
Responsible for processing weekly payroll and related reporting and analysis.
Assistance in monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.

Ability to communicate (oral and written) in an efficient, effective manner to associates, executives and other external parties.
Strong analytical ability.
Strong problem solving skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must have an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills will be required and must include proficiency with sub-totals, pivot tables, sum if and v lookup formulas. Candidates must be able to analyze data and complete complex formulas & calculations in Excel. BaaN or SAP experience preferred and Hyperion financial reporting software experience a plus.

* BS/BA in Accounting
A minimum of 3 years private industry financial analysis/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with monthly financial closings preferred
Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting preferred
Working knowledge of GAAP preferred
