span Accounting Principals has an outstanding opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Boston, MA.  If you have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business, one to three years of relevant experience in public and/or private accounting, and technical accounting knowledge, specifically related to Private Equity, Real Estate and other limited partnership investments – you are the right candidate for this job! In this role you will be responsible for the processing of complex alternative investment cash flow transactions, valuations, analysis of underlying information, and other investment related matters; including internal and external correspondence with Investment Professionals. br   br   br Responsibilities: br   br • Process and review capital contribution and distribution requests from General Partners, ensuring the proper accounting treatment of each transaction. br • Prepare standard and ad hoc reports; which include account reconciliations and control checks utilizing a broad knowledge of accounting principles. br • Responsible for complex accounting and financial analysis. Prepare reports efficiently and effectively utilizing advanced technical accounting knowledge. Ensure appropriate use of historical information and current trends. br • Understand regulatory environment. Identify, recommend and execute resolutions to issues as they arise. br • Responsible for following enterprise risk management and compliance procedures. Follow risk management and quality compliance processes to include quality control compliance (i.e. OFAC, attestation). Follow safeguards to protect company assets and ensure compliance with Corporate and Company procedures. br • Participate in projects of moderate to high scope and complexity. Communicate project opportunities and constraints to Management while monitoring project status. May also actively participate in cross-functional project of moderate to complex scope. br • Responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining efficient, cost effective, processes, controls and data management; including department interactions. br • Drive continuous improvement. br   br Qualifications: br   br • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business. Advanced degree preferred. br • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in a combination of public and/or private accounting br • Technical accounting knowledge, specifically related to Private Equity, Real Estate and other limited partnership investments. . br • Ability to apply analytical business acumen/knowledge to financial reports. br • Ability to connect business data needs to systematic processes/tools. br • Solid understanding of financial analysis knowledge/skills is required. br • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities. br • Ability to work with management and key stakeholders in SBU/Corporate Departments. br • Self-starter who takes initiative with tasks and has the ability to handle multiple responsibilities. br • A dedicated, detail-oriented and enthusiastic professional that can work independently and as part of a team. br • CPA or CPA candidate preferred br • Familiarity with Burgiss Private i, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and SS&C CAMRA preferred. br   br   br If you are interested in the Staff Accountant Job in Boston, MA or other jobs available through Accounting Principals, please click “apply” below and/or visit our website   br
