Based out of Paramus, New Jersey, you will spend your day providing upper-management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts. You will be preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from other departments. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting. br br B As a Staff Accountant your job responsibilities will include: /B br ul
li Participate in month-end close activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and review of budget-to-actual reports /li li Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolution to reconciling items /li li Verify and analyze business records, transactions, and procedures /li li Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets /li li Ensure client compliance with applicable rules and regulations via GAAP and GAAS /li li Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations /li /ul
br B You are the ideal candidate for this Staff Accountant job if you have: /B br ul
li Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track /li li 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting /li li Minimum 3 years’ experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, GreatPlains, JDEdwards, etc.) /li li Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook /li li Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex technical information so that is it easily understood by clients /li /ul
