Job Description
Under guidance and supervision of Regional Manager, duties include appraisal of non-residential, complex commercial property types. Also responsible for review of evaluations and third-party appraisals.Key Responsibilities: Data collection, inspections, photographs, etc.Compile and verify comparable data as well as other relevant data.Research data and write reports utilizing standard industry software.Research records at municipal buildings.Perform other related assignments as requested by manager.Mentor Appraiser Trainees and oversee evaluations.Perform desk reviews of evaluations and third-party appraisals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications: BA in business and/or real estate related concentration; general certification in the State in which candidate practices, satisfactory completion of majority of required educational courses toward professional designation with the Appraisal Institute preferred.Minimum 5 years appraisal experience, bank experience a plus.Specialized knowledge / experience in valuing: Hotels, motels, lodging of any typeHealth care related facilities, acute care nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, hospitals, clinics“Spec” developmentProjects funded with governmental assistanceTax credit related transactions (low income, historic, new market)Highly specialized or unique land usesAny real estate whereby the operating business is/or could be an integral part of the valuation.Working knowledge of current standard MS Office platforms, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.Experience and working knowledge of Argus software.Ability to use independent judgment, discretion and maintain confidentiality.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong knowledge of the Banks organization, policies and procedures. Strong understanding of State and Federal regulations as they relate to lending and appraisal procedures.Ability to travel a must, driver’s License and automobile required.
