Job Description
ARA is seeking an entry-level civil engineer to work full-time in our Transportation Consulting Services Group in Champaign, Illinois.
Staff civil engineers apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments. This work requires technical and operational proficiency solving problems of moderate complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and participating in field data collection in support of pavement design, evaluation, and management projects.
- Performing data reduction and analysis.
- Preparing draft technical reports in support of pavement evaluation projects.
- Preparing client presentations for technical project results and reports.

Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with an emphasis on pavement engineering.
- Understanding of pavement engineering, infrastructure management, and related transportation technologies.
- Strong writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel and to work at field sites.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Engineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT/FE) registration preferred.
- ESRI ArcView experience preferred.
- GIS experience desirable.
