Under the general supervision of the Core director(s) and project manager(s), the SRAII will be involved in all aspects of the Thoracic Imaging Research Core Lab including but not limited to data collection and computer analysis. Under the general supervision of the Core director(s) and project manager(s), the SRAII will be involved in all aspects of the Thoracic Imaging Research Core Lab including but not limited to data collection and computer analysis. Independently perform data collection and analysis procedures pertaining to ongoing and new research projects. Use computer analysis software to derive desired quantitative measures from radiological image data. Execute the transfer of image and other data into research databases for analysi. Extraction of image-derived data using software developed by investigators in research group. Collection of image and other data for experiments.Assist in all aspects of data analysis. Collaborate with Core Director(s) and team in development of protocols and procedures to test theories in research projects. Provide significant contributions pertaining to the design and execution of experimental projects involving human research. Provide training for new personnel on the data collection procedures as well as the usage of image analysis software. Observe radiological procedures. Ensure that correct procedures are being performed. Assure compliance with Hospital and University policies, including those related to the use of Human Subjects in research these duties will consist of assisting with the preparation of materials for Institutional Review Board.
Ability to research ideas and methodology to achieve objectives to facilitate research. Ability to extract and record relevant data from medical records and medical images and to use computer techniques to acquire and transfer these data into the research database in appropriate forms. Experience with CT data is preferable and experience with MRI and/or Ultrasound data an advantage. Ability to run image developmental analysis software developed by investigators.
