JOB DUTIES:

The mission of the UCLA Center for Behavioral & Addiction Medicine is to advance the prevention and treatment of chronic illnesses, especially in communities with health disparities. Our research efforts include clinical trials of anti-addiction medications and HIV prevention interventions. The Staff Research Associate will be assigned to our clinic in Hollywood. This position will be responsible for administering study measures, conducting HIV pre/post test counseling, entering data, screening calls and scheduling. This position will be an active participant in weekly study team meetings and will assist with preparation of agenda and regular progress reports. Participate in regular quality assurance checks and follow up on data queries.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED

-Successful candidates must be able to question research participants about sensitive behavioral issues, including but not limited to drug use and sexual behaviors.

-Must have experience interviewing participants and collecting and entering data.

-Able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with participants, staff and faculty.

-Must possess the organizational skills necessary to maintain records and to coordinate competing priorities.

-Able to work independently, ask questions and report to supervisor on a regular basis and in a timely manner.



Preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish

Certification in HIV pre/post test counseling
