The Staff Tax Accountant is responsible for the preparation of various federal, state and local tax returns. Assist with the preparation of the income tax provision and related financial statement tax footnotes. Provide audit support for the income and non-income tax audits. Maintain tax internal control and SOX process documentation. Perform tax analysis and research projects.

Essential Tasks:
1. Prepare federal, state and local tax returns and related workpapers 2. Gather deferred income tax information and prepare required work papers and calculation. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision
3. Respond to information document requests from federal, state & local auditors. Provide additional audit support to supervisors and managers on an as-needed basis4. Update internal control and SOX process documentation 5. Perform tax research and other special tax projects
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* Masters in Taxation or Advanced Degree preferred.
* CPA license preferred
* 1-3 years of progressive experience in public accounting (or equivalent industry experience)Intermediate/Advanced PC Skills - Excel, Access, Onesource Tax Provision and Compliance, and RIA
* ASC 740 technical skills
* Some exposure to sales & use and property tax preferred
* Broad knowledge of corporate federal, international, state and local income/franchise tax
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
