JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for various services to include but not limited to cleaning equipment, floors, workstations, utensils, pots and pans using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards; checking ice levels, keg beers, bib sodas and Co2 containers and replace if necessary; loading and unloading supply trucks; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the management. Clean and sanitize glassware, silverware, china, etc. Maintained and stock work area. Work orderly and efficiently. Inspects tableware and other items for stains, cracks, and other damage to ensure pristine look of items and report any deficiencies to the Management for prompt repair/resolution. Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property. Maintains area in a clean condition at all times. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment. Availability to work varied shifts and days Must be able to speak, read and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and management. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move (rotate) goods weighing a maximum of 25 lbs using safe lifting techniques. Ability to stand for hours at a time. Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. High school or equivalent education required. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Performs any general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor. Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents. Performs other duties as requested, such as moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up unexpected spills. Cleans equipment which may include work tables, refrigerators, meat blocks and other equipment Cleans utensils, pots and pans by washing them by hand or place them in a dishwashing machine Returns clean utensils, pots and pans to their proper places Removes trash and garbage to designated areas Sweeps, mops, scrubs and buffs floors using heavy equipment Cleans walls, windows and steam cleans trashcans EDUCATION Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. EXPERIENCE No prior experience is required. Prior experience as in a similar position is preferred. NOTICE: The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
