The Steward Supervisory plays an essential role in the success of the food and beverage operation and the overall resort. The Stewarding Supervisory will oversee our Stewarding team to ensure that they are providing the level of service and satisfaction our guests deserve and require. The most suitable candidate must be able to multi-task efficiently, have an eye for detail and take pride in his or her work. The Stewarding Supervisor will interact with many different departments and positions within the resort operation. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on and Supervisory experience within a Stewarding (or similar) environment. Requirements POSITION PURPOSE Supervise the overall kitchen sanitation process and procedures, including, but not limited to, quality and consistent production of all china, glassware, and silverware operations. Supervise the overall standard operations of servicing the food and beverage outlets, including banquets. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AVERAGE ' OF TIME 60 ' Coordinate and direct all work assignments, hands on, in the Stewarding Department and ensure that organization, sanitation and cost of operation is consistent with the overall food and beverage goals and objectives. Responsible for the supervision, scheduling and training of all employees when necessary. Ensure ware washers are consistent in total dish washing operations by meeting departmental standards. Coordinate with banquet runners to ensure that all set up sheets are completed and delivered in a timely manner. Ensure that employees have all the necessary tools to complete work assignments. 20 ' Monitor and coordinate the day to day set ups of china, glassware, and silverware items to all banquet functions and outlets and ensure they are properly completed and delivered. 10 ' Responsible for chemical supply control and inventory, and for china, glassware, and silverware items breakage and loss awareness and control. Responsible for all the proper storage of china, glassware, and silverware and their storeroom organization. 10 ' Ensure safety is being met as a departmental goal. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
