Job Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
The Store Manager utilizes and coordinates all services provided by UGG Australia Company Stores and makes them consistent with the short and long-term interests of the Company. This position ensures that the store provides the highest level of customer service possible. Is responsible for achieving budgeted revenue goals and monitoring expenses. Major parts of the job on a day-to-day basis include managing staff, finding new ways to improve sales, and meeting customer demand.
Instill in employees the meaning and importance of customer service as outlined in GREAT Customer Service Program.
Promote and monitor quality of service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model.
Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs and address their questions or concerns.
Hire people who pursue passions that relate to the Company's products and philosophy.
Inspire employees so that each person contributes to the productivity of the store.
Maintain staff levels that allow for the best possible customer service.
Delegate workload appropriately and effectively.
Write performance evaluations and goal assessments on the Assistant and Stock Room Managers.
With the Assistant Store Manager, evaluate all store employees; ensure that reviews are given on schedule and documentation is received by the HR Department.
Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitor what local competitors are doing.
Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
Develop a pool of potential Store Managers/supervisors to meet the long-range Retail and Company objectives.
Maintain training standards to ensure both product and systems expertise that will improve store operations and allow for better customer service.
Follow and maintain merchandising standards that reflect the image of UGG Australia Company Stores as described in the Visual Standards Binder.
Manage the budgeting and financial planning of the store.
In conjunction with the District Manager, formulate the fiscal revenue, expense and profit goals for the store.
Ensure that goals will be met through appropriate planning and organization of staff, inventory, and expenses for short and long term success. Make staff aware of sales goals.
Monitor the loss prevention program to protect the Company's inventory and assets and minimize annual shrink.
Take necessary action to lower expenses if sales goals are not being met.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications
Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organization.
