The Sales Engineer will be directly responsible for the management and execution of Automotive Small Projects / MRO / Channel relationships and activities. This individual will play an integral role in developing detailed automotive business and operational plans both directly with Strategic Automotive Customers and with distributors in coordination with the National Sales Team. In collaboration with local Area sales teams, the Sales Engineer will lead/coordinate the tactical execution of operational plans to drive small project growth and the enablement of channel partners to realize automotive growth targets by implementing sales plans, national / local promotions, training programs, and inventory planning.

Responsibilities:

* Sets goals and objectives, develops sales/business plans, establishes call plans and strategies, develops account profiles and executes the sales plan.

* Applies market and account skills necessary for dealing with specific target audiences such as distributors, contractors, industrials and utilities.

* Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge of the channel market and competitive products with their strengths, weaknesses and applications. Applies knowledge of channel products to customer's needs.

* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Schneider Electric products/solutions/services and competitor strengths, weaknesses and applications. Applies knowledge of Schneider Electric products/solutions/services to customer's needs.

* Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction through in-depth knowledge of customer's organization, increasing account dedication, timely communication, and follow up, increased availability/access, timely communication, placing accurate orders, tracking and expediting orders, and following up on accounts.

* Implements channel and merchandise programs.

* Generate new business by strategic alignment with other internal sales channels.

* Expand and retain key accounts while ensuring ongoing customer service.

* Identifies and develops account penetration strategies.
