Nestle Business ServicesPOSITION SUMMARY:Develop and execute commercial strategies for Contract Manufacturing within the Healthcare Nutrition and Performance Nutrition businesses. Summary of responsibilities include: Locate and evaluate supply sources; benchmark costs via TCO best practices; develop contractual goals and lead negotiations; and support purchasing related KPI's. Work in close concert with key business stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical Services, and Quality Assurance. Coordinate and facilitate activities with other Strategic and Operational Buyers as well as business stakeholders to rationalize and/or right-size the supply base, optimize tolling/conversion rates, work with Operational Buyers to manage the raw/packaging material costs, and assist with issue resolution primarily from a business perspective (but also GLOBE/systems as applicable), so as to maximize the value delivered to Nestlé.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure supply while providing the best Total Cost of Ownership and enabling Nestlé's high quality standards.'Locate and develop contract manufacturing sources for specific product applications. This includes acquiring and maintaining a high degree of commercial expertise and market category expertise (MCE) in categories as assigned. Must maintain an up-to-date knowledge of leading supplier technologies and capabilities, product development trends, and Intellectual Property (IP) management best practice in specific categories/markets. 'Negotiate and execute commercial agreements using Nestlé best practice contract manufacturing SOPs. Develop and execute supplier relationship management strategies to build strong and effective relationships with strategic suppliers further enabling opportunities to leverage the full breadth of supplier capabilities, innovation and improve speed to market. 'Manage day-to-day commercial activities as related to contract manufacturers Understand and manage all value drivers such as tolling, material costs, loss factors and payment terms in order to negotiate the most favorable agreement terms for stakeholders/Op Co's. Identify and manage sourcing contingency plans for bottleneck suppliers. 'Lead strategic and tactical activities so as to ensure ongoing supply of product that meets business unit sales requirements and satisfies Nestlé quality assurance and food safety imperatives.'Work closely with and develop strong business relationships with key stakeholders and support functions including Manufacturing, Finance, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Technical Services and Supply Chain, in order to fully understand and meet stakeholder/Op Co needs and requirements. 'Develop strong network of internal NBS Procurement peers and managers, and collaborate with internal team members to drive best-in-class customer service to stakeholders/Op Co's.'Initiate and execute cost improvement projects and strategies that deliver strategic 'total cost of ownership' savings that meet or exceed business objectives.'TravelMinimum 5 years experience in Purchasing, Contract Manufacturing, Operations Improvement, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.4-year degree preferred; disciplines are business, supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing.CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) are a plus.
