Under the direction of Internal Medicine Training Program Director and Student Affairs Officer V (House Staff Coordinator), manage all Recruitment and onboarding for 75 new trainees, including trainees from other programs as needed.
Detailed knowledge of and demonstrated expertise in the use of following Microsoft Office programming applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Access. Detailed knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the requirement for employment at UCLA and other health systems. i.e. County and VA Systems. Strong skill in use of ERAs and creation of evaluation tools for recruitment assessment. Skill in creating evaluation tools, databases, and reporting systems to provide feedback and overviews of faculty and house staff physicians. Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships among staff members with diverse duties, skill levels and responsibilities. Skill in orienting new employees to various work environments and in training employees in use of computerized scheduling programs. Demonstrated skill in negotiating, including the ability to exchange ideas, information and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs. Excellent oral communication skills to independently collect and relate information with accuracy and diplomacy. Excellent written communication skills to independently compose letters, memos, proposals and manuscripts. Ability to maintain equanimity in difficult interactions with patients, staff and physicians. Skill in reading reports, correspondence, forms, and records to analyze problems, proposals, and the ability to meet stated educational objectives. Strong knowledge and Expertise in use of On Call/Amion Scheduling Software and Residency Management System (i.e., MedHub) Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel, patient and departmental issues. Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, house staff, and patients. Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are competing requirements, pressures of deadlines, heavy workload and shifting priorities. Ability to follow through on all tasks to completion without supervision and to manage multiple project timelines.
