Multiple positions exist for experienced engineers with an interest and passion for Automotive Engineering. BR BR Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: BR Coordination, integration and synthesis of engineering information in the Product Design Office Studios. BR Leading engineering feasibility activities for vehicle interior and exterior class A surfaces. BR Supporting development of program related clay, foam, and fiberglass models. BR Developing packaging hardpoints and verifying CAD surface and clay model compliance. BR Verifying design and packaging feasibility by coordinating construction of seating properties, mock-ups and verification models. BR BR Required Qualifications BR Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited university. Other degrees and educational credentials, in combination with relevant Engineering experience, may also be considered. BR 5 years of experience with emphasis on design and packaging of vehicle systems and components that affect interior and/exterior class-A surface development. BR High level of CATIA V5 and/or NX expertise, to include 3-D geometry creation, surfacing, solids, and 2-D drawings. BR Use KBE templates to update and meet feasibility req (A line creation, cluster visibility, PAB template, Knee Blockers.) BR Must be able to produce competitive benchmarking analysis creating 3D and 2D layouts BR Need exceptional speed due to the aggressive time constraints and demand BR Need to provide surfaced engineering models for surfacing group to start and build on. BR Need to have the knowledge of scan data manipulation BR Support Clay model development; use CAD to supply sections and bogie points to PDO. BR Supply data for clay millings, new surface data and/or assemble data of the C/O portion of a vehicle. BR Use CATIA/NX to asses engineering feasibility of interior and/or exterior surface data BR Cut sections through the surface and add B side geometry to determine feasibility, compare with Requirement Sections and Bogie Models. BR Develop sufficient CAD geometry to illustrate package feasible solutions and counter proposals to Engineering BR Create data to support class-A surface
