Subcontract Administration Specialist 1
ULA provides reliable, cost-effective, expendable launch vehicle services in support of its mission to Discover the Solar System, Support the Warfighter, Understand Our Earth, Protect Our Nation, Human Spaceflight, and Enabling Navigation.
Assists in development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services. Prepares requests for quotes (RFQ) and proposals (RFP) packages, conducts bidders' conferences, analyzes and evaluates supplier proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects subcontract source, creates subcontract documents, and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with subcontract Compliance to develop purchasing policies and procedures. Coordinates with engineering, quality and finance as necessary to mitigate supplier performance risk and resolve supplier issues. Subcontract Administration is authorized to commit the company to a subcontract for products in support of launch vehicle production.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use computer and office equipment and to use hands to type, manipulate, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises. Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing and use interpersonal skills. The employee is regularly required to prioritize, multitask, analyze, interpret, coordinate, compile, evaluate, synthesize, compute, problem solve, concentrate, and think critically. The employee is occasionally required to copy, instruct, and negotiate. Judgment and Decision-Making: Work is regularly assigned by self, supervisor, and departmental staff. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to exercise prudent judgment, decision making, and analytical skills to determine manner and operational steps necessary to properly handle inquiries and perform daily tasks within professional standards. External Additional Requirements
-This is an Entry Level position.
-Bachelors degree in Business or Supply Chain
-Experience or internships in Supply Chain, Procurement or Business
-Experience following standard business procedures, and general business knowledge/acumen
-Experience with basic professional analytical techniques to develop solutions for problems
-Experience (proficient) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-You must be able to obtain and thereafter maintain a favorable National Agency Check Inquiry (NAC-I) in accordance with Air Force Instruction 31-501 entitled: Personnel Security program management or an equivalent approval so that you have continuous unescorted access to all ULA work locations, including controlled/restricted areas, to perform assigned work.
-You must have motorized transportation and a valid driver's license
External Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with purchasing policies and procedures
-Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
-Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (SAP preferred)
-Interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate an ambiguous environment
-Proactive, independent worker with the demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate and work well with others
-Impeccable attention to detail, passion for driving change and ability to look at the big-picture
-Superior written and verbal communication skills
