Substation Engineer

- candidate will be required to perform all aspects of transmission substation design as well as perform review of outside vendor drawings. - This will include but is not limited to designing substation grounding, lightning protection, developing thermal ratings, sizing generators, ordering materials, learning and using NU's transmission substation standards, sizing switches, transformers, breakers and other electrical equipment. - Individuals must possess the ability to organize engineering projects and follow-to-completion, communicate with others effectively, use computers effectively, and write clearly and concisely. - Additional duties will include defining the concept, scope, need, and engineering aspects of substation and switching station projects and support the preparation of project cost estimates and schedules.

Requirements

- Candidate needs to have a Minimum of 4 years of substation design experience.
- Bachelor of science in electrical engineering is required. - Candidates
MUST HAVE previous design experience to support the above statement. -
Candidate must be skilled in Microsoft excel and outlook.- WinIGS substation
grounding design software (or equivalent), Auto CAD and Microsoft suit.
- Drug screen- Background check- US citizen or Green card holder
