The University Relations Intern will work within the CBS Interactive Human Resources team in our San Francisco office for 40 hours per week. As a member of our team you will gain exposure to a wide range of Human Resources projects. Your primary role will be to help us recruit the top interns for summer 2012 and build our summer internship program. This internship offers excellent training and mentoring. It is ideal for a student who wishes to explore and / or pursue a career in Human Resources. We are looking for a local candidate who can start immediately, and work part time while still in school. This candidate must be returning to school after the summer, for at least one more full semester.
Responsibilities: Post internships and full time positions to job boards
Assist with screening candidates for internships and full time positions
Sell our employment brand via social networking (e.g. maintain / develop our Twitter and Facebook Fan page, research and recommend new social networking tools)
Use Salesforce to pipeline candidates for internships and full time regular positions
Assist with on site recruiting eventsHelp develop and facilitate our Summer 2011 Internship Program (e.g. orientation, networking events, off site events)
Assist recruiters with reference checks, screening candidates and other projects

Location:
235 Second Street, just a 4 block walk from Montgomery St BART station
This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines.
Required Skills/Experience
Leadership experience is a must
Must have outstanding attention to detail
Program/Project/Event Management experience is a must
Skilled in building successful relationships internally and externally
Previous experience in recruiting a plus
Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
Flexible, open minded and forward thinking
Willing and open to learning and to new ideas
Strong organizational skills (planning and prioritizing) and ability to multitask
Ability to work independently and take initiative but also work well with coworkers in a team environment
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Excellent customer service skills
Internet savvy and passionate about digital media
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
Must pass a background check
