ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
* Plans, coordinates, and schedules daily maintenance operation to ensure that facilities are ready for daily operations. * Plans, reviews, and schedules plant rearrangement efforts. * Supervises routine preventive maintenance and periodic checks of power HVAC, fire protection systems etc. * Directs normal and off-hour emergencies such as snow removal, building system failures, and roof leaks. * Assists in budget development. * Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of new plant engineering techniques by way of contacts with other industries, current publications, and membership in professional societies/organizations. * Works with Advanced Technologies in new equipment qualifications. * Works with vendors setting up needed equipment. * Responsible for work order accountability. * Utilizes project management skills when involved with multiple projects and shows the ability to delegate tasks and drive on-time completion. * Responsible for building security such as; distribution of keys, enforcement of security procedures, arming and disarming training and card access system. * Schedules custodial services. * Hazardous waste management, handling and contingency plan duties.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* Demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical skills (i.e.: schematic fundamentals) * Communicates effectively, in both written and verbal formats. * Effectively mentors employees at all levels. * Understands and uses continuous improvement tools * Drives solutions to planning issues with direction from senior management. * Supports a 24/7 global business operation as required. * Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills. * Effective interpersonal skills with employees and customers. * Effective negotiation and problem solving skills. * Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism when representing the company. * Demonstrates leadership and people management skills. * Demonstrates teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction. * Leads or at least participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format. * See job analysis forms for specific physical stressors of the job.
2+ years maintenance management experience; 1+ years in a leadership role
* 2 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
