JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY
The Precision Technology Division of Benchmark Electronics is looking for a Dynamic Manufacturing Supervisor to work on 2nd shift and weekends as requested. The qualified individual will assign, coordinate and ensure effective completion of the activities of the manufacturing team to safely meet internal and external customer expectations by continuously evaluating and improving processes and team strength through clear expectations, training and accountability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
* Coordinates with engineering and programming to create effective processes, cells and standard work to continually improve efficiency of organization * Reviews and drives improvement of work orders, process drawings, process instructions, machine standard work, and facility requirements. * Ensures that team has the necessary tooling, equipment and facility to effectively meet targets * Manages team schedule including labor time entries and time off to maximize productivity * Adaptability to changing work environments, multiple demands and other duties as necessary Local candidates Only

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* Continuously ensures production team is effectively assigned to and engaged in efficient and safe work activities at all times so productivity, quality and safety expectations are measured and met * Monitors, measures, improves and documents employee performance including training and mentoring * Ensures internal and external policies and procedures are available, clear and adhered to. * Creates, compiles, and reviews metrics including output, yield, efficiency and utilizes / presents results along with actions to drive improvements * Supervise staff of 30 employees/contractors

What would really impress us: * Lean Certification * Experience in a High Mix/Low Volume (Mixed Model) Manufacturing Shop * Experience in safety regulations (OSHA, Life Safety, NFPA, BOCA, ASHRAE, ADA) * Experience / understanding of MRP system in a manufacturing environment including prioritization / dispatch reporting * Intermediate experience with Microsoft office including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

What we need from you: * 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * 2+ years experience or equivalent with operation and understanding of CNC machines and/or coordinate measuring machines * 2+ years of leadership / supervisory experience overseeing safety, personnel, workflow, schedules and equipment * Ability to read, understand and effectively interpret blueprints / drawings as it relates to manufacturing and inspection of parts * Knowledge of equipment and tooling associated with production machining including CNC, CMM, and manual hand tools and inspection equipment
