Job Description

Cable West Division EngineeringSummary: Responsible for assisting and supervising Network Engineering Staff. Implements the Company Channel Launches, Capacity Management, Internet protocol network. Provides high-level technical advice for all Headend, DAC, and Engineering Networks. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent.Core Responsibilities: - Assists in the scheduling, assigning, and supervising network engineering staff.- Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.- Oversees the maintenance of records for operations and equipment.- Oversees resolution of client concerns. Performs engineering, documentation and maintenance tasks.- Assists in preventive maintenance programs, scheduling tasks and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and departmental policy.- Works with Headend network hardware and network protocols.- Oversees and enforces safety regulations and practices.- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. Required Skills: Qualifications:- Education Level: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent- Field of Study: Engineering, Computer Science- Certifications: Prior Com Tech 6/Network Engineer experience is recommended- Years Experience: Generally requires 4-7 years related experience- Compliance: Comcast is an EEO/AA/Drug Free Workplace.Disclaimer: The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
