WellStar Douglas Hospital has a new and exciting opportunity for a Supervisor of Patient Access Services! 2-3 years directly related experience in the patient registration process is required. Experience in leadership position is strongly preferred.
Job Summary:
Functions under the direction of the PAS Manager. Responsible for organizing department, achieves goals and meet objectives. Provides 24 hours staffing to ensure adequate coverage. Develops, updates and communicates current and pertinent policies and procedures to staff. Assists Site Manager with other duties as required ensuring the efficiency of the department. Responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in all job duties. Takes administrative coverage call on a rotation basis.
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of Medical Terminology Course desired.
Required Minimum Experience: 2-3 years directly related experience in the registration process. Experience in leadership position is preferred.
Required Skills: The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude (see WellStar's 'Standards of Gold'). Accuracy, attention to detail and good communication skills are essential. Working knowledge of Managed Care preferred. Must work well with others in a leadership role.
