within the CFO Treasury organization and is responsible for producing timely and accurate paychecks for approximately 23,000 active employees and 22,000 pensioners. The Payroll Department complies with all employment tax reporting and payment requirements. We work
closely with our business partners to respond promptly and professionally to inquiries regarding payments and tax reporting.
The department is comprised of 23 employees who are a mix of management and union represented employees dedicated to providing
world class customer service and moving us closer to becoming the leading utility in the United States. The department consists of two sections, each headed by a supervisor as well as individual contributors reporting directly to the Payroll manager. The two
sections are the Payroll Service Center and Payroll Operations, Accounting, and Tax section.
Position SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing:
? Response and resolution for Payroll Telephone Helpline
? Response and resolution for Payroll Questions e-mailbox inquiries
? Timekeeper support for SAP Cross Application Timesheet (CATS)
? Administration and execution of Wage Garnishments including services outsourced to ADP and integrated with
? Payroll transactions and processing for pay adjustments, corrections, one-time payments and final paychecks
? Execution of off-cycle ACH and check payment runs and urgent same day payments
? Time and absence quota corrections and updates ? User acceptance testing of SAP system changes in assigned areas of responsibility
? Other areas of responsibility as required by future process or organizational changes
The individual in this role will be responsible for the supervision of
professional employees in the Senior, Career, or Associate Analyst levels as well as clerical employees in the entry, journey or senior levels.
? Bachelor's / Master?s degree or
? Minimum 5 years of recent payroll or related business experience.
? Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
? Proficiency in SAP HCM/Payroll or other similar ERP
? Experience with SAP Cross Application Timesheet (CATS) or other Time and Attendance systems a
