JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Superior is looking for a Supply Chain Business manaer in Livermore for a contract position
Basic Function: This position will have significant experience in delivering objectives and supporting our Etch manufacturing operations in Livermore. Provides support for manufacturing via cross-functional interaction to drive on time delivery of materials/assemblies/components. The role is that of an individual contributor who is a self- starter and able to operate independently of day to day supervision
Bachelor’s degree is required
Degree preference is materials science, engineering (chemical, mechanical, or electrical), or business
3-5 years business experience
SAP experience preferred
Supply Chain experience is preferred
Experience in capacity planning.
Strong communicator capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations.
Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint ·
Understanding of technical documents (i.e. blue prints/drawings).
Write effective reports progress of projects.
Demonstrated strong project management skills
Requires demonstrated excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including executives
Primary Functions and Performance Objectives
Participates in a cross functional teams to identify high risk material impacts to manufacturing, develops/ monitors risk mitigation strategies, and coordinates/ monitors root cause corrective actions.
Defines metrics and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Regularly evaluate quality and performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
Encourages and coordinates early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers’ expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability.
Involves Purchasing team to assist in the research, development, and implementation of solutions to supply issues.
Project management of materials readiness for multiple products involving numerous suppliers
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Cient’s quality management system and properly apply quality procedures and operating procedures as appropriate.
Carry out special projects and all other additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications: 3 years supply chain project management working with vendors. Bachelors degree
