JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Key Responsibilities
Directly supervises/manages a team of production/distributionschedulers, logistics personnel, and 3PL warehouse(s) across a geographical group of plants and facilities.
Leads a multi-function supply chain execution team in South Arkansas (customer service, manufacturing, quality, logistics, & procurement) responsible for analyzing all late shipments, determining root cause, and implementing corrective actions.
Optimizes production, distribution, and transportation plans and resources to achieve service, cost, and cash targets
Interfaces with S&OP resources to ensure that supply plans and production schedules are feasible based on known resource constraints--- May personally manage complex scheduling models involving product wheels, co-products, byproducts and recycle streams
Within the scope of assigned production/product responsibilities, facilitates supply/demand risk assessments via 'what-if' analysis to continuously improve production and distribution decision outcomes
Manages material flows between production facilities, inter-plant warehouses, and 3PL warehouses to optimize for service as well as transportation and warehousing spend budgets.
Accountable for 3PL warehouse performance within region of responsibility including insuring proper procedures are in place and followed to insure legal, regulatory, and product specific requirements are met.
Drives slow moving and off-grade inventory reduction plans to insure working capital turns at required levels.
Investigates, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions for customer complaints within region of responsibility.
Key Performance Indicators: On-time to customer commitment (OTCC), on-time to customer request (OTCR), days cover of inventory (DCI), inventory age profile, production-to-plan attainment, freight and warehouse spend.
Desired Background and Requirements
5+ years of Supply chain experience
Solid knowledge of SAP/MRP, MRP Master Data, MRP Configurations, and related best practices, preferably as an experienced practitioner.
Demonstrated success running site shipping logistics, preferably with tactical experience managing carriers, warehouses, and shipping/logistics personnel.
Proven leadership and technical/process skills to drive improvement in scheduling and supply chain performance
Continuous Process Improvement Experiencepreferred - capability to analyze, improve, and implement supply chain processes within region of responsibility.
Chemical industry experiencepreferred, but will consider supply chain experience in otherindustrial manufacturing environments
BS Degree--will consider significant Supply chain and/or Manufacturing experience equivalence
APICS Certification preferred

Excellent communication skills--ability to concisely articulate challenges and solutions
Excellent problem solving, analytical, and time management skills
