BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This position reports to the Directorof ZSPEC operations. The Supply Chain Manager directs and oversees ZSPEC inventory purchases and metrics supporting strategic initiatives. Included will be managing expensed material for M/O inventory, factory item coverage and expensed purchases all while achieving maximum level of parts availability for manufacturing and sales at minimum inventory levels, unit cost and expense. This position will be responsible for supervising 12 to 15 procurement and production planning team members including outside processing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* On time delivery performance for all manufactured and sourced finished goods

* Inventory Performance for all manufactured and sourced finished goods

* Delivery of productivity / cost savings as it relates to inventory and supply chain management

STRATEGIC

* Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement

* Develop appropriate inventory management tools and processes to achieve organizational goals

* Further develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve current days of inventory and cash cycle

* Improve forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projects

* Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs

* Drive, promote and develop positive communication between multiple functions to drive overall performance

TACTICAL * Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements through SIOP process

* Help architect Zurn regional inventory signals and how those are streamlined back to the vendor base

* Support new product development and end of life process to minimize impact to overall supply chain health

* Assist in coordination and planning of materials requirements for new product introductions

* Proactively review material supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to impact current procurement schedule and releases

* Assess impact to materials availability from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan

* Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels while working with Sourcing and Purchasing to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when needed,

* Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies. In depth knowledge of ERP systems strongly preferred

* Work cooperatively to implement innovative inventory efficiency and accuracy programs

Job Requirements

* BS or BA degree in Supply Chain Management or technical field

* A minimum of 7 years of experience in materials management/supply chain

* Experience in supply chain management, materials management, demand planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and procurement in a high volume, high-mix manufacturing environment

* Experience working in a fast paced position within Supply Chain Management requiring interaction with various levels of management

* Familiarity with all aspects of material management including Information Systems and procedures relating to the function

* Proven success working in a high energy and fast paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions

* Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to plan projects and to use written/verbal/analytical and organizational skills to influence business objectives

* Ability to drive and deliver results

* Strong communication skills required

* Exhibit strong leadership and coaching/mentoring skills

* Must be self-directed, self starting and a creative individual

* Must be positive with strong core-values that foster continuous improvement

* Microsoft Excel product, expert level required

* Must be willing to travel as required
