SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Will assist the Director of Supply Chain in managing company sourcing, purchasing, warehouse, and logistics functions.
Locate new vendors and potential partnerships to source the products the company sells to its customers; focusing largely on apparel and promotional products.
Evaluate, select, monitor and maintain relationships with vendors.
Conduct negotiations including pricing, logistics, service level guarantees, and terms with suppliers to hit company margin goals.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including: interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work, approving leave requests and timesheets; developing functional cross training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Perform analysis and provide analytical support to improve quality, margin, ROI, or efficiency within the supply chain department.
Work with freight carriers to ensure products are delivered timely while providing great value to our customers.
Analyze inventory position and make adjustments to maximize turn without decreasing sales.
Optimize logistic processes to reduce customer freight expenses which drive sales.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management and three (3) years related work experience or six (6) years related work experience post high school or GED.
Three (3) + years experience in a leadership role with a proven record of improving margins and profitability.
Supervisory experience with ability to set clear objectives for team.
Ability to draft and negotiate contracts, prices, and other vendor requirements.
Ability to manage multiple clients and suppliers.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; MAC experience preferred. Highly proficient in Excel is preferred.
Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
