JOB DESCRIPTIONESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
: Responsible for the development of production schedules for manufacturing to ensure 100% customer delivery performance utilizing the most cost effective methods for the organization.
: Assist Division and Corporate in establishing supplier cost reduction expectations and consolidation plans.
: Analyzes and improves plant manufacturing control systems.
: Ensure that the scheduling and purchasing activities adhere to the established quality policy, procedures, work instructions, ENA Code of Ethics and requirements of TS-16949 and other customer requirements.
: Responsible for developing, tracking and continuously improving key performance indicators (KPI's) for the purchasing and materials/logistics organizations.
: Plant production and MRO purchasing responsibilities including new product launches and controlling of ECN's (Engineering Changes).
: Logistics and freight responsibilities for the plant, as well as packaging and containerization for our customers, internal requirements, and suppliers.
: Administrative knowledge required includes product and process knowledge and the ability to foster a participative effort is paramount for success in the position.
: Provide support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
: Managing of engineering changes that will include minimizing or elimination of obsolescence, and the effective implementation of new product launches including all SAP system requirements.
: Manage all shipping and receiving, warehousing, logistics/traffic, material handling, packaging and returnable dunnage for the facility.
: Excellent knowledge of implementing, maintaining and driving improvements with cycle counting and tracking the results for continual inventory accuracy improvements.
: Experience in management of the purchasing function and personnel, both production and MRO purchasing.
: Freight/logistics and packaging experience is required.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND / BASIC QUALIFICATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
: 10-15years of manufacturing experience with a strong preference in the automotive industry.
: Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Materials Management or Supply Chain, advanced degreepreferred.
: Excellent planning and schedulingexperience with a strong preference of utilizing SAP.
: APICS Certification preferred but not required.
: Able to work hours as needed to accomplish goals, objectives and needs of the organization.
: Strong experience in material flow, lean concepts, pull systems, cost savings initiatives and visual warehouse techniques.
: MMOG experience is preferred.
: Knowledge in various PC applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
: Strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
: Possess the ability to drive improvements and change at the same time mentoring and growing our most valuable resource, our employees.
: Intricate knowledge of material flow, material handling, warehousing, inventory control, purchasing, vendor releasing, JIT, capacity planning, logistics, packaging, shipping and receiving, and all materials management disciplines.
: Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
: Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
: Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
: Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
: Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
: Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
: Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
