We have a position available for Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist at Parkers Hydraulic Systems Division located in Kalamazoo, Michigan which includes working directly with our customers and internal teams on providing a premier customer experience.
As a Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist, you will facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and problem resolution of quality issues / opportunities with suppliers and monitor suppliers performance against contractual obligations, and division metrics. Additionally, will aid in the selection of suppliers recommended by Procurement / Supply Chain Team.This position will be responsible for providing technical mechanical engineering expertise to suppliers. Primary responsibilities will include: Evaluating manufacturing processes by conducting research; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. Analyzing and planning suppliers work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve suppliers manufacturing efficiency. Coordinating with suppliers to ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account. Maintaining product and process data base data,
This position requires a Bachelor's degree with eight or more years of related experience with industrial or mechanical engineering. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes a plus. Excellent Excel skills necessary.
