My client is looking for someone that has technical expertise in the areas of materials purchasing, materials planning, inventory management and supplier development.
They are looking for the right person to come in and shape the future direction of an aggressively growing company's world class supply chain.
This firm is a leader in the design and manufacturing of solutions that enable the delivery of energy to the world and as such they are seeking a passionate and creative professional to develop and lead our strategic sourcing and procurement plans.
*Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management.
*CPIM or CPM certifications a plus.
*Minimum 10years of experience in a Senior Supply Chain role with equivalent experience operating in a manufacturing environment.
*Working knowledge and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
*Experience and understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
*Ability to develop win/win relationships with suppliers to reduce cost and improve delivery and quality.
*Excellent coach and team leader who can champion change.
*Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
*Familiar with manufacturing processes including but not limited to metals, fabrication, assembly, paint, and electronics.
As a Director of Supply Chain Management, you will:
*Develop and lead strategic sourcing and procurement strategies in alignment with company objectives and growth goals.
*Develop and maintain world class supply chain practices.
*Provide leadership, vision, and direction in sourcing and procurement.
*Formulate and deploy procedures governing all aspects of materials procurement, materials planning, inventory management, and supplier development.
*Lead the strategic and tactical negotiations within the supply chain.
*Leverage continuous improvement activities to drive improved performance and profitability.
*Work cross functionally with Sales, Estimating, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Design to ensure best cost manufacturing strategy is being achieved.
*Ensure supplier compliance in all respects of corporate specifications and requirements ensuring best in class supplier performance.
*Establish and maintain performance metrics.

*10+ years Supply Chain Management experience.
*10+ years Purchasing & Procurement experience.
*5+ years Strategic Sourcing expertise.
*Experience primarily sourcing within North America.
*Must live in the Midwest, have ties to the Midwest, or have lived there in the past.
*CPM certification a plus
An Excellent Benefit Package with the potential of a BONUS up to 20% of annual salary.
