Belcan currently has a need for a Senior Specialist to be involved with our Supplychain and Manufacturing Center of Excellence. This position will work at the customer location. Overall, this position will provide technical expertise in relationship to supplychain and manufacturing support, troubleshooting, process improvement, insight to quality and measurement systems, Project Management work, etc. Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Lead large programs and teams while working closely with the customer to define requirements.
Responsible for delivery of major programs, defining program direction, and ensuring critical customer needs are met.
Manage workflow parts and shipping out.
Create and use MS Access and Excel macros along with Visual Basic programming language to manipulate data to make supplychain efficient, automate material inventory, and improve scheduling.
Troubleshoot major material process problems, evaluate scrap out-of-flow material, implement existing or develop new approaches and special projects to solve the issues.
Troubleshoot, evaluate, make suggestions, and sign off on supplychain planning, forecasting, delivery.
Heavily involved with the coordinating, leading, and presenting of the on-site information process, customer procedures, supporting documentation, forms, drawings, production, inspections, quality resolution, etc.
Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, quality/process teams, customer management team, material teams, purchasing teams and other engineers involved in the process.
M.S or B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automotive and Assembly, etc. or equivalent amount of work experience involving manufacturing engineering.
10+ years of relevant work experience as a supplychain engineer with working knowledge and experiences involving leadership and subject matter expertise.
Work experience dealing with the customer while leading large and medium sized projects, overseeing process, personnel, quality, and results.
Experience creating, updating, and managing technical documents, reports, and standards.
Experience using MS Excel and MS Access.
Experience using Visual Basic.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Extensive understanding of product engineering concepts and applications.
Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and guidance.
Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business units.
Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts.
Understanding of Mechanics of Materials and Structural Design.
Experience and working knowledge of manufacturing process, machining, assembly, supplychain, parts, tooling, etc.
Experience with heavy equipment, industrial equipment, and/or automotive industries.
Knowledge of CAD Modeling (2D, 3D).
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Experience with CNC Coding.
Experience with Cost reduction.
Project Management experience.
