This position will be responsible for selling Fire Detection and Suppression Systems services to assigned customers, to include FM 200, NOVEC 1230, CO2, Explosion Protection and other engineered systems. The position will develop and maintain relationships with customers in the manufacturing, telecom, power plant, and other commercial industries. This requires development of a sales and marketing plan for the assigned territory / markets. The successful candidate will manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunity, developing solution/value position, preparing the proposal, negotiating terms, closing opportunities, and providing on-going customer service. Work with other sales, technical, design engineering, service, support and management to meet customer needs.

Direct Sales Representative II Employees responsible for the direct sales of products and services within an assigned territory, position carries a direct quota assignment. Activities include Identifying prospects utilizing creative lead generation techniques, developing / expanding existing and new business by maintaining strong relationships with multiple customer departments and key decision makers.


NICET certification in special hazards preferred.

Must have end user / account based sales experience.

Must have fire protection sales experience.

Must have basic technical knowledge of all aspects of our special hazards business.

Must be able to develop new business by calling on existing customer base as well as prospecting for new customers.

Must be organized, able to work with constant supervision, and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

Must have working knowledge of all fire codes and be able to learn all services SimplexGrinnell offers to comply with these codes.

University Degree or 2 years experience.
