Surgical Technologist I - Sinai

As a member of the surgical team, provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.
Requirements: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma or GED equivalent. Accredited Surgical Technology Course Certificate; Surgical Technologist Certification preferred; Basic computer skills; Synquest; Medical terminology; Surgical equipment and instruments; Hospital computer systems. One to three years of experience. Must have previous Surgical Tech experience in Opthalmology, GYN, and General Surgery. 24 hours Per week, schedule varies. Hours 7am-3:30pm with on-call for Eye emergencies (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
