First American Professional Land Services is a surveying division of First American Professional Real Estate Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of First American Financial Corporation. First American Professional Land Services is currently seeking a Florida Licensed Surveyor.
Location is flexible to Orlando, Tampa and Miami

The Licensed Land Surveyor reviews or provides the work performed by all Field Tech's and drafting technicians on appropriate boundary solutions, review and certify that written descriptions of land and completed survey work conform to the technical standards of the State of Florida, ALTA/ACSM Minimum Technical Standards and legal requirements.
Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of property and terrain. Conduct research in surveying and mapping methods, using knowledge of techniques of photogrammetric map compilation and electronic data processing. Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
-Must have high school diploma or equivalent
-Must be an Florida State Licensed Surveyor
-Proficiency with AutoCAD, GPS and robotic systems is required
-Good computer skills
-Strong Communication Skills
-Ability to research survey related documents through public access and the internet
-Work is composed of section breakdowns, metes and bounds, ALTA Commercial Surveys, Elevation Certificates, residential title surveys, lot surveys, topographic surveys, etc.
-Must have valid, clean driver's license
