System Analyst/ LIMS Programmer
BioReliance has an immediate opening for a System Analyst/LIMS Programmer who will work as a member of the IT Department to develop and maintain Laboratory Information Management systems (LIMS).
Essential Functions:

Participate in all aspects of developing LIMS applications including system analysis, design, programming and troubleshooting
Work closely with business users to analyze existing laboratory processes, understand business and user requirements and identify process improvement needs.
Develop and document processes flows and data models for sample tracking, plate management, data acquisition, experiment execution and other laboratory processes
Configure LabWare LIMS system and create LIMS Basic subroutines to implement the new functionality
Develop LabWare LIMS interfaces to laboratory instruments and other automated systems.
Provide production support of LabWare LIMS systems which may include configuration, administration, upgrades/patches, system documentation, user support, custom reports, bug fixes, enhancements, and training.
Develop processes to proactively monitor LIMS systems to address data quality, system performance and other operational parameters.
Refine data interfaces between LIMS and other business applications to ensure robust information flow.

Skills:

Excellent knowledge of software design principals, relational theory, SDLC processes.
Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL
Understanding of human interface design concepts
Experience working in biotech industry.
Knowledge of laboratory workflows and clinical data
Experience with LabWare development and LIMS Basic
Experience with LabWare data models
